Metallica: Nothing else matters than Heavy metal

Artist: Metallica
Album: Metallica
Genre: Heavy metal, Thrash Metal, hard rock
Release Date: August 12 1991
Very hard metal, almost screamo but not quite. I personally am not a huge fan of heavier metal but this album is a good mix of ballads and hard rock. I also grew up playing rock band and a version of guitar hero that was a Metallica version so I knew a lot of these songs already. Definitely can feel the emotions especially with the song the unforgiven.

Favorite song: The unforgiven

With a lot of the heaviness that this album provides the unforgiven is a great ballad to even out the hard rock that is Metallica as a whole, not to mention the smooth almost whisper like singing that Lars provides makes the song that much more sentimental

Overall rating: 9.5

I grew up on listening to albums from the 80s so I would listen to Metallica a few times and play enter sandman on the video game rock band. Other than that I think it is a good album and a decent introduction to metal for those who are trying to expand thier music tastes
